Brevard County Fl – Sushoo Health Information Exchange continues to gain praise from nationally recognized companies and organizations.Sushoo has now gained recognition from The IPA Association of America (TIPAAA).

“Sushoo is extremely happy to gain this endorsement from TIPAAA,” Said Naveen Venkatachalam, “This particular recognition is very important to Sushoo because we provide the vehicle to keep IPA’s complaint with healthcare reform. Partnering with TIPAAA validates Sushoo’s benefits to our IPA customers. This will allow us to show that we are not trying to just sell them, but assist them in becoming compliant with government mandates and assist with any plans to transform into ACO’s”

Independent Practice Associations (IPAs) have been helping to assist physicians with insurance contracts for some time now. However in recent years IPAs have come under fire as the Federal Trade Commission has accused the organizations of price fixing.

“Due to health care reform, simply representing a large group of physicians is not enough to warrant higher reimbursement rates anymore,” Said Albert Holloway president of TIPAAA.

The FTC is looking for these organizations to prove that their providers are “clinically integrated.” This clinical integration will lead to physicians working together to produce better patient care and outcomes while also managing patient care in a less costly way to the insurance companies thus warranting higher reimbursement rates.

“We have been working very closely with the FTC to provide our IPAs with the most recent and accurate information. Our organizations look to us because we are getting the most recent guidelines from the FTC itself,” Said Holloway.

One of the most stringent guidelines set in place by the FTC is the implementation of an HIE. Health information exchange is one of the key components to clinical integration. HIE provides the vehicle for physicians to efficiently and effectively share information over the internet and remain HIPPA complaint.

“IPA’s need a way to prove clinical integration, Sushoo is not only one of the most recognized, but also the most affordable solution on the market,” Said Venkatachalam.
